Maritime Festival 2026 – The Appliance of Science, First Steps Towards The Automated Flax Spindle

Location: The Branson, Rathlin Island

Times: 7pm

With the help of the latest breakthroughs in the science of spinning, Tiernan will outline how the automated flax spindle has become a real possibility in the 21st Century. Participants will make their own first steps towards building an automated flax spindle in the workshop.
